Hi Amy the Ant --
My name is *really* Ant[hony]. (That's different from "My name is really Ant, honey." I wouldn't be so presumptuous.)
Lego and Macs are my favourite toys! (And it's a long time since I was at university. ) Isn't it a shame that Mindstorms isn't available on the Mac?

The commercial Mindstorms doesn't work on the Mac but there is an educational version (Robolab) that will works on the Mac. However, it's hard to get outside the States and you have to pay for it (about $50).
There are other development environments available for free. For example:
TclRCX uses the Tcl language. It is free and cross-platform (MacOS, Linux, Unix and Win32)
Not Quite C uses the NQC langauge and is available for MacOS, Linux and Win32.
legOS uses C or C++ and is available for Linux, Unix and Win32.
However, I take it that your point was that Mindstorms RCXCode should work on the Mac. And I agree wholeheartedly

Amy --
I see from the Sunday Times magazine last week that a -- commercial -- Mac version of Mindstorms is now available... Now, I suppose I'll have to buy a set...
At least it'll be cheaper than a G4 Cube.
