Is my very poor English a reason for not liking me?

I can't spell very well. It's always been a problem of mine.

I can't spell very well either but I have found that nobody really cares.

Hannah, your English is technically excellent. You have nothing to fear.
In any case, I merely wince to myself when I come across "your" being used when a writer means "you're" or when someone says that something "could of been" (it should be "could have been"). However, I'm far too polite to say anything about these mistakes.

I never really notice these thing, but then again I seem to be oblivious to a lot of stuff.
Oh well!

what would you say if someone spelled "you are" like "ur"?

Amy the Ant - High Manzanilla of the Church of the Stuffed Olive Posted Jun 19, 2000
That's fine by me. But not in an English essay.
BTW don't take me too seriously. I only put that in my list because I was, at the time, struggling to read something written by a native English speaker that was so poorly constructed and spelt that I was distracted from the meaning of the words.

Allright, it's just that I feel left out if someone says something like that.

Hey, I said that I didn't like poor spelling. I didn't say that I didn't like people who spell poorly.
Anyway, I've taken that bit off my home page now because I've got over it

Of course I can read it. I'm annoyingly fussy but not daft.
