Nice too see you around again!
Esperanto? Wow - I've tried to learn a bit on my own - and was very surprised at discovering that the man running the lift in a Roman ruin in the Italian city Verona spoke Esperanto...
Mia nomon estas Titania, kaj mi parolas Esperanton - malmulte! (is that correct?)

Greetings!
It's good to see you again too.
I don't know if what you were saying is correct or not, as unfortunately I haven't gotten very far in my esperanto studies. I was hoping to find a copy of The Guide in esperanto to help me learn. I figure I've read The Guide so many time that I'd understand it regardless of what language it was in and that it'd be a good book to teach me esperanto.

Hmmm.... good idea! I tried a google-search for esperanto, and found something that sounded promising: 'Virtuala Esperanto-Biblioteko' - unfortunately I don't know enough esperanto to understand the titles...

Greetings
Can you send me the URL for that Virtuala Esperanto Biblioteko? If it's the same one I'm thinking of, it has a couple of passages from the Guide, but not a translation of the entire book (which is good I suppose for copyright issues, but bad for obtaining a copy in Esperanto). One of the passages I remember specifically is from Life, The Universe, and Everything, Chapter 19, 'The Universe - Some information to help you live in it'. I don't remember which other passages are there off the top of my head. Please give me the URL anyways though, just in case it's a different site than the one I'm thinking of.
On stay bits of PostIt© notes I have laying around, I've managed to find some of the titles in Esperanto. The only one I have handy at the moment is: La Restoracio ce la Fino de la Universo
I'd love to find a copy of The Ultimate Hitchhiker's Guide (with all 5 books, plus YZPIS).

PS - I don't know if posting the URL here would be a violation of BBC's Terms & Conditions, or not, so if you'd like to send it via email, my address is: [email protected]

Let's try it here anyway...
You'll find a very comprehensive site about Esperanto at a site simply called esperanto...
...and then net - and, after all those flags symbolising various languages, you'll find a link to the Virtuala Esperanto Biblioteko [probably Virtual Esperanto Library]
...and thanks for the inspiration, Phoenix! I tried clicking on the Swedish flag, and found a net course in Esperanto - I've just finished lesson 2, but it's tough - I try to make a list of all the new words, and after two lessons, I have almost 100 words...

Greetings Titania
Sorry about the long response time, but I'm been a little busy job huntin' lately and haven't been online much. That and my recent depression (which many hitchhiker's are experiencing lately) has had me feelin' like I don't want to do much but sit around and mope. But I'm starting to cheer up again and will be my usual self again soon.
Cxu nun vi parolas esperanton?
That's cool to hear that you've found an online course for esperanto. I started taking an online course for it too, but unfortunately only got about half way through it before loss of job, and moving to a new place, distracted me from my studies. If you'd like to practice your esperanto, please feel free to email me sometime (since non-english is discouraged on H2G2 now). Perhaps that'll help me keep studying it too.
