The Lilly Pond
ex-Rambling. Thingite. Dog. Pythonist. Deceased. Started conversation Nov 18, 2001
Deep in the heart of a virgin forest, nestled in a little clearing among the mighty oaks, lies a tranquil little pond. As a gentle breeze wafts through the clearing, sending ripples across the surface of the water, the faint strands of music is heard.
Focus: a lilly Pad, large and leafy, with an odd looking patio structure perched in the center. Fish swim around it, and apon closer inspection, the fin of a shark, odd in this setting, can be detected stirring the waters.
The structure appears to be a platform, built rather like a patio. An invisable forcefield nullifies the sound, but the figures on the lilly pad appear to be having a party. Every once in a while, the faint sounds of music and laughter escape the sound barrier, but the denizens of the forest don't seem to mind.
Creatures of every description are making merry on the dance floor and in the pub. A continted frog watches over them, occasionally plying them with whisky or cognac. The open airpub is alive with mirth, and the open air dancefloor, with it's own house band, is busy.
