I ordered a membership of Borussia Mönchengladbach for for Christmas, so that I could get him some tickets for the premium games for the rest of the season.*
The tickets went on sale today at 10am and naturally now they have all gone without me managing to get any because I couldn't log in because it didn't recognise the card number. Finally got through to a nice lady who sent me login details via email (i got the mail before we finished the call) but it says the password is not valid. (I used copy / paste, there is no mistake)
So I thought, ok now I have a confirmation that the membership exists. I clicked the "forgot your password" button, entered my email address and... "this account does not exist"
I'm flippin' furious now. I don't mind not going to any of those particular games, but I really would have liked to get a ticket before they go on general release, otherwise why do I pay EUR 60 a season for a membership card. Grrr. And now the ticket hotline has closed. Because Saturday. Even though it is the 2nd biggest day of the year for them.
*first thing you notice: only 2 or 3 games a season charge a premium - an extra EUR 10 on top of the regular EUR 27,50 ticket price for the biggest games (Bayern München, Borussia Dortmund and the local derby against 1. FC Köln)
**not sure how it works in the uk. The first half of the season is mirrored exactly in the 2nd half of the season. So the first match of the season was away to Freiburg, the first match of the second half is home to Freiburg. I find that fascinating.

10 € extra for a match against Dortmund, who are currently at the bottom of the Bundesliga
I understand your frustration. Stuff like this should be so easy but once it gets haywired it *really* gets haywired

I know, right? I don't mind paying the extra to see a good team, and generally Dortmund are good, but we got to see the Hoffenheim game when they were 2nd and Gladbach were 3rd in the table - that's a premium and we paid EUR27.50 for good seats for that.
And what about teams like Bayern München? (and Gladbach come to that) they are the best - so every game is a premium game. (although I haven't looked at their pricing so I don't know what they charge)

Bayern München clearly is not the best. They just happen to win every goddamn game, thus making shedloads of money which in turn enables them to buy all the good players from other teams, adding the bonus of weakening the other teams to the bonus of having the good players, which over the course of the next season will make sure that they happen to win every goddamn game. //repeat cycle//
As they say in German, the devil always craps on the same crap pile.
Remember, in order to become a member of the Bayern club, you needed to be "legally unblemished". So when Bayern manager Hoeness was found guilty of tax fraud (of some 30 million Euros), what did they do? They changed their rules so any fraud can join (or stay on).
But never mind. Carry on. Not getting your tickets because the computer system was acting up is a shitty thing. Hope you get it sorted out somehow.
Y.

it worked, finally. I'm guessing that the activation of the account took longer than usual (the hampsters must have been working overtime yesterday)
I now have tickets for the first game of the rückrunde (Freiburg) and... (poop, I ordered them and it's a Tuesday - oh well, we'll have to take the afternoon off )
anyway, and...
tickets for the Dortmund game.

Looks like Dortmund is in deep trouble, which is a shame, I like them. And their coach
I must admit I was hoping Nicklas Bendtner would score today even if his team Wolfsburg played against Gladbach. He needs more success to build up self confidence which is badly needed when he plays for Denmark in the European championship

Well, that's the 3rd league match in a row Gladbach have lost. That means the Curse of Sho and has probably struck.
We have tickets for the last 2 home games before the winter break. Hopefully the one on 6th December will be a Nikolaus gift for my boys.
It's not all bad: Sheffield Wednesday shocked me by winning yesterday.
