I absolutely loathe and detest iTunes. I have to use it for my iPod shuffle (which I won) so I can have music in my car.
But for downloads: no way, Pedro.
So I finally got round to checking out the MediaMarkt online music store. And as a result have the Take That song from Stardust.
Finally.
Now finding music, once I've downloaded it... that's whole other ball-game.

What was wrong with Limewire?

Well, I have no idea what that is. And I'm very wary (after a nasty nasty thing happened to my last computer) of downloading anyting. It's taken me a looong time to get this far.

It's safe.
And useful.

is this one of those where you have to upload and get "credit" so you can download?
That puts me off a lot of things because I really don't have a lot of spare time.

thanks - I'll have a poke around then and see what I can find. Gruesome #2 is desperate for some Alesha Dixon but it's not yet available here. (frankly, I'm relieved )

I have LimeWire. It's great for some things, even old stuff (Tom Lehrer, Bernard Cribbins) and classic al music, but it relies on other users having tunes you want on their computer. I've been trying to get You Give Up by T'Pau for some time now. Nobody using LimeWire seems to have it.

Batman and Robin are fighting the baddies. Batman picks up a vase and smashes it over the Joker's head. 'T'Pau!'
'Surely you mean "Kapow!"?' asks The Boy Wonder.
'No,' replies Batman, 'I've got china in my hand.'
