Can I ask you a question?

My friend has this live journal thing and I was having a read...and at one point she's really sarcastic about how I got my mum to write to the school and get me extra art periods.

She's only bitter because when she asked Mr Port for extra time she wasn't allowed it, and the same deal with Maree, but Maree just dropped a class and hasn't picked on up so she gets extra time, (I also think Maree's mum asked)

But anyway, should I feel hurt that she feels like this? That's a mummies girl or something.

The fact is I asked, I went through the proper channels, I took things seriously, she just heard I'd got extra time and thought "I'm having some of that."

Stupid but still I thought I should air my concerns to someone.

Well, I think she's overreacting a bit -- if she didn't try to follow procedure to get the extra time than it's not your fault -- and that's not you being a momma's girl or anything. It's not like your mum lied to get you the time or something -- you're not cheating the school -- and if her mum won't help her out on it then that is her problem and has got nothing to do with you.

You say she's your friend -- why can't she just be happy for you? I don't think that's very fair.

She's just being bitter. It's not like you did anything wrong.
