You might want to add that making sure the bow is "slack" (sorry can't think of a proper word) when the bow is not in use prolongs the life of the bow, and also that residue rosin that ends up on the violin and strings, from the bow, must be wiped down with a soft cloth after playing so as not to corrode the wood and strings of the violin

Good entry.
However I think it would really benifit from being divided up into sections and a bit more material added.
Something along the lines of
What a Violin Bow is, and what it's used for, perhaps a bit about how it addes to the sound of the instrument.
The different types available today.
How they're made today.
The history of them.

Maybe you should say something about cost of a bow, in comparison to the cost of a violin. I once heard that you should pay for your bow about 1/4 of what you paid for your violin - is that true?
You might also want to mention how viola, cello and bass bows are different from violin bows.

Aubecs hasn't posted since April 30
Is it too early to propose a move back to entry? Or Flea Market? It needs too much work to be picked, IMHO.

It is a bit too early, yes. The author won't be an official Elvis till June 30. But all the same I'd vote for back to entry when it comes round.

That's a shame; but someone else could certainly pick this up and run with it. There is a lot of good info packed in, and a few corrections needed (eg loose rosin will damage the varnish, not the wood of the violin, if left unwiped).

On first glance this looks too short.

Propose move back to the entry, or Flea Market.

Hello janexxx
There is nothing to stop you taking it now, but you need to make your own entry, which you can then submit to Peer Review.
Type into your browser: http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/h2g2/test11388576
and then you can copy the code off the entry into your entry. Remember to update, then add the original author at the "Edit the Researcher List"
It should say:
Current researcher list
janexxx
then in the box type the User number of the original author aubecs - 3880860, then remember to click the "Set Researchers" button, then "Update".
I'll stay subscribed to this thread until you get going, if you need any help just shout.

Thanks. Might be a couple of weeks before I have time to look at it properly. Is that OK?
