I always did wonder how they got their name, although I never heard the "flaming pie man" story. LOL, it sounds almost DNAesque. And some of those names--Johnny and the Moondogs! Thanks Bluebottle! That was a very interesting article.

Thanks for reading it, you must have been quick here as I only wrote it yesterday! But you're right - when you think of them, you think of them as "The Beatles". Imagine re-naming some of their albums?
"With The Johnny And The Moondogs" instead of "Meet The Beatles"
"The Black Jacks For Sale" instead of "Beatles For Sale".
Just doesn't seem right.
