I started my new job today, to be fair, it's the job I've been doing for years and in fact is exactly the same job I had when I left here...but it's a job. And getting paid properly rather than it just being favours.
It's my old office job doing filing and writing up clinics, tidying and doing stuff on the computer...it's not jewellery, but it's a few hours a week to get some money put away towards buying materials.
This doesn't include the windows, so that's a little extra money from that.
I wish I'd kept my job with my jewellery tutor, or at least I had the confidence to go and ask if he needed any help, paid or unpaid. I miss that job and I could do with being back in a jewellery environment. I also miss my designer in residency, I loved teaching and being in the uni...I miss uni.
Work is good. Being out the house is good. Money is good. This will help me get better. I hope.

It's not ideal, I'm going to be doing extra hours to begin with to get certain parts organised (contact lenses by type, power and prescription, clearing the store room and removing dead files from the cabinets) those parts are time consuming and since the main part - getting out record cards and writing up the clinics by hand - is a laborious and continuous job, it means that there's not actually much time to do those parts.
I wrote up three days of clinics today, it took me most of the day just to do that.
Once the organising's under control I should have more time to concentrate of getting back to jewellery and hopefully have a bit more cash in my pocket to fund it.
How are you? How's things?
Other than the job things are the same as ever, though I have a bedroom full of rainbow coloured streamers. I've been making paper chains for the window, so that's quite a nice thing to wake up to in the morning.
Day off tomorrow to try and find my gran a birthday present, so I will be running around trying to find something for the most difficult person to buy for in my family.
That and trying to find some clothes i can look presentable in at work
