It's to do with when it was first created, they didn't realise how big it would get so they didn't bother to put in all the security measures like making in difficult to be anonymous when sending spam email

mmmmm I haven't got any spam so far in my new account *touches anything remotely wooden around her* well apart from the horoscope I get sent but that's my own fault, I signed up for that.

I get about 100 a day. Have got a new spam filtering program that makes it seem easier and it is better since I started bouncing one of my aliases.
I have a domain (like bbc.co.uk or msn.com) and it has various email addresses for myself and my parents. When I sign up to a new site I give them a unique email address that I can recieve but so that I know where it coming from eg. [email protected]. Then if I get a load of spam coming through on that address I write a letter of complaint to the site and then have any emails coming to that address forwarded to a non-existant email address instead of to my 'catch all' address so they get bounced. Unfortunately this is a fairly recent system for me so I still have quite a bit of junk email coming through to my main alias. But hopefully with the help of mailwasher I can start to reduce that too.

that sounds scary...I just put up the amount of security on my accounts when I start getting a lot of spam, then it deletes it automatically...only problem with this system is, well, basically you end up deleting any new contacts because the things doesn't recognise them until you've got them in your address book

that was really, insanely horrible of them to do to you, you do not deserve anything of the kind (nor does anyone, with the possible exception of them) and I'm sorry. I love you.
