although some times the unkown bands are only unkown because the record componys are to buisy recruting Teni bopper bands.
for example I bet no one has herd of fused?? and they are brilyiant

I like the fact that with unknown bands that you can introduce your friends to it and be smug...Well thats how they act to me anyway...so i do it straight back!

unfortunatley my friends are into things like Slipknot, Mudvain etc which half of i think is ok the other half is pants!

i like thoughtful rock. not metal tho. and the bands i mentionned, well, theyre very good, but i doubt you'd like em. i just dislike the boringness of nirvana and the foo fighters.

and you shouldnt lose sleep about pop. if good music was popular, no one would inovate, and all the good bands would be bad. thus, chart music is good. even if hear say rip apart bridge over troubled water and dance on its grave *sobs*

I think Nirvana are brilliant and so are the foofighters...i just love all the guitar music and i think the lyrics are fairly clever...and as a teenager...and as most teenagers have the Kevin Mentality...some of the lyrics just seem to express how you sometimes feel!....Such as resently i've been having friend problems (in that my exbest friend is using my group of friends and trying to push me out of the group!) and Lithium off Nevermind just seems to say how i feel! But don't worry i am perfectly happy at the moment

Yeah my problem with pop music which i promise you i am not losing sleep over but my problem is my friends get yelled at getting called "moshers" because of the music they like but the "trendies" like half the stuff they like...although fortunatley not the stuff i like ie: Papa Roach and Limp Bizkit!

its so pathetic. just ignore them. give them the finger. play to their stereotype. they dont matter. there are a fair number of people like you (ie moshers - just joshing!) on h2g2. do you know positivefreak?

No i don't and i'm not a mosher well i am but only aparently by assosiation! i prefer just being me wearing the cloths i like...listening to the music i want and not letting anyone think i'm not as good as them Or at least thats what i try to think

Nothings wrong with moshers...i wanna be one...i just feel like because according to the trendies i'm a mosher and my friends (moshers) i'm just me is a real an in the butt and that it doesn't really feel like i fit anywhere!

I just feel like moshers are a specially brand of trendie...do u get what i mean? they all dress the same...so do trendies...they all listen to the same music....so do the trendies...and they all take the mick of of one another!

So what i meant was i feel that to be individual i wear what i want and listen to what i want! Not go with what everyone else wants!

Yes i know but i got my dad's for a while but didn't have space to keep it up anywhere & using it meant moving everything turning round my CD player pluging in a bunch of cables etc etc!!

So i will try and make room when i move my room around!

Does anyone here know about old, weird music? I used to be into rather unknown bands, long ago, most stuff I have is from the late 1970's and early 1980's. Nowadays I have so many CD's I never listen to the radio. Over here they rarely play anything but s**t on the radio anyway. Basically I listen to music while I am drawing or painting. I used to go dancing when I was younger, at school and university where most of the stuff played was nice and most of the dancing was close dancing with someone of the opposite sex, and fast, not the slow kind of shuffling about that is just about the only kind of close dancing shown in American movies. I don't like the current dance music or dance clubs at all.

Old weird music...Yngwie Malmsteen is the weirdest i know from the 80's...i'll have a think though!

YEah me too except it isn't restricted to music...such as did you know there are 15 calories in a stamps! and that if you talk to god your head explodes!(ok i can't prove the god one but the stamp thing is true!!!!)
