smiley - yikes indeed!!! I'm very glad not to have experienced that, so that I could at least *see* the whole pier even though it wasn't shown off to best advantage!

It has still been a bit grey and damp round here this week, but definitely somewhat warmer so I hope it is similar for you smiley - ok

I hope your boiler is soon fixed smiley - hug I was lucky that although my oven broke this week it was surprisingly easy to get it replaced, so I can again have hot dinners, thankfully. I could have cooked for a few days just on the hob if I had had to, though - a boiler is worse, that it is important to the whole house... smiley - hug

Some more virtual soul food for you from me smiley - teasmiley - hugsmiley - cuddlesmiley - smoochsmiley - cuddlesmiley - hugsmiley - tea

Thinking of you so much smiley - cuddle (your job experiences remind me of the time a friend of mine lost their partner a few months after I'd lost mine - they were talking about how much of a shock it had been, to be so sudden, and I wanted to say how much I understood the shock as that had been my experience too, but all that came out was a sob... ) smiley - cuddle thinking of you...

I'm glad you got your cooking facilities back so quickly, I am hopeful my boiler will be fixed soon, meanwhile I'm off to my daughter's house tonight for a shower and hairwash.

It's still grey and damp heresmiley - ermwe were supposed to be getting some nice days this week but no sign of them yet smiley - sadface

Glad you were able to borrow your daughter's shower and your boiler was fixed relatively quickly smiley - ok

Glad you were OK in the earthquake, too smiley - hug - I experienced an earthquake in 1990, but that was only 2.0 on the Richter Scale, so I can't imagine what 3.9 was like... 2.0 was scary enough as I could feel the wall behind me moving and didn't know what was happening smiley - yikes

Now the weather is improved from earlier in the year, I've been thinking about holidays and would like to visit The Jungle sometime smiley - biggrin I wonder if you would like to join me one Monday in July?

smiley - hugthank you!smiley - ok

I'm away in the Lake District early July, and the church are hosting lunchtime concerts every Friday in June/July/August, we start planning them on Mondays! I also don't know from one week to the next exactly what funerals are coming up. I really wouldn't want to arrange anything only to have to let you down at short notice. I'm really sorry smiley - cry

smiley - hug No problem - I noticed your adverts for the lunchtime concerts on social media, but didn't realise you were involved in organising them too! smiley - biggrin

I hope you get pleasant weather in the Lake District. I hope for good weather when I next travel down south. I also plan to visit Chester Zoo to see the birds there, and I'm going to see A87905299 on stage, so that should be a good event smiley - biggrin

smiley - wow

That all sounds very exciting!smiley - hug

There's a lot going on behind the scenes at the church, my official "job" is verger, assisting the vicar with weddings and funerals. But everything else done is voluntarily, so you have to be careful what you volunteer for, I've found!smiley - laugh

Did you know there's a World Firefly Day? (early July). I've posted a short video on your Facebook page.
