Wow - just read your journal.
I joined the failing club in late June with my first attack - now fixed.
I am now semi-retired - Hence I am back and ready to shake, rattle and roll.

Vegiman!
Thanks for dropping by and the and the
Do you know I have my own smiley now (all that campaigning paid off)
and then there's which I'm sure you'll make good use of
Glad to hear you got your fixed may you have good health in the future!
So what are you going to be doing with your time? My last fled the nest earlier this year so I've moved bedrooms and am now converting my old bedroom to a new dining room, and redecorating my living room, very slowly I might add...
LiveLong&Prosper indeed!

Hi Babes
All that excitement my beating
IRL as I said I am semi-retired as a self employed window cleaner, believe it or not
I am still recouping from the angigram procedure placing a stent in one of my arteries but looking good so far. Lost about a stone deliberately by reducing my food intake and cutting out processed sugars.
I have been studying dog psychology over the last year or so and ready to once again to become a dog owner to take me on long walks.
In cyberspace, well I am back, hoping to play a part of getting this site back where it belongs, don't know how yet but I am sure I will come up with something.
In the mean time I am playing

Hope you are well
How is that of yours.
Any good news on that front.
Have the quacks got you breathing alright again?
When I was in the cardiac unit ward (for one week),
you know me, I researched other inmates to find out what their problem was.
I found out a lot of them were returning within 5 years - you made 7. No comfort, I know &

I've been told I have a narrowed artery but have to go to another hospital 36 miles away to have the stent fitted. Just awaiting that now
Thanks for the 500+ calorie breakfast tip, I can certainly manage that and I found this http://www.active.com/nutrition/Articles/Breakfast__the_most_important_meal_of_an_athlete_s_day.htm as a point of reference. I always have a good breakfast (weetabix or flavoured porridge) with (white, no sugar) but I could certainly manage juice and a yogurt on top!
My said (twice) that I have to lose weight (gimme a wand) so this will be worth a bash
I'll keep you posted (but I won't bore you to death)
Thank you vegi

all the affection - My beating
I was lucky, I was taken in as an emergency, on the Monday night, drugged and forced to relax for a few days in hospital. Thursday I had the angiogram, booked to go to another hospital as a day patient the next day and the stent fitted on the Friday. Weekend as an inmate as there were no surgeons in my surgical team who could sign my release papers. Signed out and Home on Monday. All over in one week from start to finish.
The idea behind the 500+ Kcal break diet with along with proteins and carbohydrates is to remove the urge of picking at other carbohydrate snacks until your next meal. It tells your brain and body, you have enough in your system and wards off hunger pangs.
It should be part of a reduced Kcal diet, therefore you have to reduce further meals in the day, up to your maximum daily Kcal intake.
Once or twice a week - your breakfast will be the only meal of the day (Fasting Diet). That's not so easy and should not be entered into until your heart settles down.
I know you too have read up on this subject and will no doubt have found out as I have. It is processed sugars which causes the inflammation inside the arteries. The body sends platelets to do repairs the area, combines with cholesterol to make plaque which sticks to the artery walls. End result
I have apart from morning cake, reduced a lot of processed sugars from my diet and was surprised at how much, I was taking daily.
Processed foods are now a big No No for me because of their sugar content. Natural sugars - fruit, honey etc now play a bigger part.
The great thing is I was told (hospital) heart health wise, I can eat as many fry ups as I like.
How ? buy cooking in rapeseed oil, being even better than olive oil in most occasions. So My wife and I use both.
I have already with support, reduced my statin medication by half and got my cholesterol down to an amazing 2.
The diet is much easier than I thought and cut down my daily Kcal by half due to managing the breakfast better.
There and you thought you could be boring
I just checkout that link you posted, double boring it just repeated what I said. Talk about re-inventing the wheel
I hope you do not mind my alter ego The Whispering to pop into your other thread TW
to you. lots of s and a big

Hey Babe
Sorry to hear they are not acting too quickly inserting your stent. Not much fun for you
Hearing how slow it can be, I will never knock the UK Health Service again...
Get some early nights in and don't let h2g2 make you stay up late at night. It will do your head in
If I could your better, I would.
All the best
