h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

I don't know if you remember me. I was a researcher here back between 2000 and 2003 and I did a very, very abrupt vanishing act.

I just wanted to say hello because I always liked our conversations and one of my resolutions for 2012 - in relation to h2g2 - is to try and contact some of the researchers I used to be friends with.

I've been back since October and while I used to be obsessive about the site and did all the Ace, Angel, Editor stuff, I've kinda lost my mojo with it all and a lot of the researchers I was very close with haven't returned (so far) since the switch over.

Anyway, I just wanted to say hello and thank you in particular for leaving me messages on my birthday every year for a long time. You were always sweet to me when I was here (I was only 14 when I started) and when I finally managed to get back into my old page, to see that was really touching.

I hope life has been treating you well.

Hiya Em! Welcome back to the fold

I also lost the habit as it were, even though I never actually left. I certainly do a lot less visible stuff than I used to, most of the work I do for h2g2 is under the bonnet, as a Curator.

I still write, and still sub-edit, but nothing like the volume I used to churn out. I link to your NEO entry sometimes in my Babe Among the Stars Post column, and I like to think our entries will live on long after we've moved on.
