Surely it hasn't been that long since we last chatted here, eh? How are you doing?
I popped by to ask if you had any Uni projects that I should know about that didn't get submitted to the University (but now feel guilty I've not said hello for so long...)

I'm just recovering from a dose of the shingles...
"Uni projects that I should know about that didn't get submitted to the University" do you mean mine? Or any?
And don't worry about not having time to say hello, I barely have time to log into h2g2 at all, at the moment

I was thinking of yours in particular – but if you know of any others that aren't on the list (when I've finished next week I'll put the list on Trello) let me know.
Almost 4:30, must dash

Hi BB, just reposting what I wrote in the "What film have you seen..." thread for you in particular:
>>Last night we watched "Danny Collins". I had no idea what to expect but Al Pacino is brilliant as a jaded singer constantly rechurning out old hits at his concerts. He's wealthy, has a fiancé half his age, a super car, fame, adulation, all the booze & drugs he wants... yet his life is empty. He has an epiphany (in 2014) when he discovers John Lennon wrote to him care of a magazine he'd given an interview to in 1971 but Lennon's letter was never forwarded to his address. (Someone else sold it to a dealer.) The film revolves around this letter and what it meant to him, how his life would have turned out differently if he'd only received it at the time. The singer attempts to repair a past wrong and find a family, but the road to trust, love and finally acceptance is fraught with difficulty. "Danny Collins" is based on a true story, the letter really exists. The soundtrack has multiple Lennon tracks which we enjoyed immensely, both of us being Beatles fans. Lennon fans will love this. Great date movie for non-Lennon fans! Highly recommended.

I keep seeing that film advertised on the side of a bus with the words 'Music By John Lennon' written in big letters, and saw a trailer too, but not seen it. It might be a film to get on DVD as I'm not sure people in the cinema would like it if I sang along to all the songs..

I didn't realise it was out already.
I'll look out for it.

And now it is September- time's zooming by this year.
I had a question about a picture of some space food which I believe comes from you. Is it a NASA pic or did you take it on your trip to the National Space Centre?

Because of my royal blood? ()
I presume you mean because I wrote the university project on QV. There's still another on my list, Prince Albert. So deserving of his own entry.

I don't know if you've had a chance to watch any of the series, but perhaps it will inspire you to write about Albert – I agree that he definitely deserves an entry.

I saw the first episode. I don't lack inspiration, just timeat the moment there aren't enough hours in the day, never mind days off in the week.

Ah yes, spare time. I'm sure I had some once, but I can't remember when…

Hey BB, have you seen this? http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-hampshire-38055088 I did like his comment on the news "No-one on the Isle of Wight will be homeless this Christmas"
If I had time I'd write it up for the EG... now caring for two people who live in different towns I am not going to be writing again for the foreseeable future

I'd heard a bit about it before, but not much details. It is definitely worth writing about, so thanks for bringing it to my attention. I'll have a think and see if I learn a bit more about it.

Hi BB, I know it's half-term but, there was a quiz show on today and all 4 contestants thought that Cowes was on the Isle of Man. Thanks to you, I was telling them off and saying it's on the Isle of Wight.

People do get the two confused - in fact a couple of weeks ago someone I know inexplicably confused The Fast Show's "We're from the Isle of Man" sketches with the Isle of Wight, but I soon put him straight...
