Hi,
I read your article on Halley's comet and thought you should check the info on the orbit.
You stated that:
The perihelion is just 0.6 AU — that means after swinging by the Sun the comet makes it through Mercury's orbital path and almost to Venus (0.7 AU) before coming around again.
As Mercury is inside Venus and has an orbit of about 4 AU, the comet cannot cross it's path, did you mean to say that it crossed the path of earth?
