Subbing Diversity of Moons
Gnomon - time to move on Started conversation Feb 14, 2010
Hi GB. I'm sub-editing The Diversity of Moons at A61808808. Can you please explain what you meant in this sentence:
They have their own gravity which can exert a noticeable influence upon the parent planet, like the Galilean moons of Jupiter.
In what way do the Galilean moons exert an influence on Jupiter?
Other than that sentence, the rest of it is finished.

I don't remember, so I suggest you change it to:
They have their own gravity which can exert a noticeable influence upon the parent planet, which can even stabilise the planet's orbit as our Moon does to the Earth, keeping the axis tilted at 23° and preventing wild climate fluctuations.
Then please would you link to Jupiter and the Galilean moons of Jupiter further in the entry, or in the reference tags
