As far as I know, there is no Cantonese translation for "sorry". If you get elbowed in the ribs in Hong Kong you'll be placated with a remorseful "sorry -ah". I know this because I live there & I get elbowed a lot.
Is it the same case in Mandarin?

There is actually a word "sorry" in cantonese because thats where im from Its "du ng jui" but now i live in england
