Why is canadian beer like making love in a canoe??

Because it's f*****g close to water. smiley - nahnah

I just spent a year in Canada, and in the month since I got back, I've put on a load of weight sampling the wonderful quality and variety of UK beer.

I did find a few beers that I liked though. The rainforest ale from Granville brewery is very nice, as is Grasshopper. There were a few others, but those two were outstanding.

I'm always willing to give pub tours in Bristol to educate your sorry North American ass. smiley - alesmiley - stout

Cheers!!!!!

If I could afford to go to Bristol i would happily take you up on a pub tour! My main point though is that Canadian beer is better than American. I've only had the pleasure of drinking British beer piss warm and out of the can so I really cannot comment on the validity of your claims smiley - winkeye

Fair enough. The joke I put in the first line of the conv was actually an adaptation of a joke told to me by a Canadian. To read the actual version, replace 'canadian beer' with 'miller'...

I have to say, it's rare to actually get a pint of good beer over here. It's not stored at the right temperature, sits in the lines for days if it's not popular, and is served in glasses that apparently cause hangovers themselves (something to do with the washing machines leaving detegent in them).

So bottled beer it is. And the best place for a good selection of quality beers seems to be the nearest supermarket.

Oh well. Just means that the best way to enjoy it is from a mountain stream, on a sunny day, with a group of your best friends, and some good food. Preferably after a days hiking or mountain biking.

Roll on summer.
