There wasn't that much ice. There's been far more. But it was enough for a three car incident to go down in Ash history. The last vehicular incident was a car skewering on an unidentifiable agricultural spiked monster by the village hall.
This was by the war memorial, where the bend on the road combines with a very odd camber to throw cars coming downhill into Ash into the middle of the road. On ice this morning, and driving straight into the sun, one car slid, thankfully slowly, straight into a head-on with a car going up hill past Ash Corner. And five minutes later, while everyone milled around a bit shaken, another car took off from the same place and went straight into a wall with a very loud, but not very destructive, bang.
No one was hurt, just shaken, but it rated an Ambulance with blue lights.

Here in the States Ambulance lights and traffic collisions usually have more to do with lawsuits than actual injury

Hmmm, I left while everyone was still being neighbourly concerned. But blame and bill responsibility are inevitable. Everyone knew each other though, so hopefully it'll all stay amicable.

Any ice is a problem. Well, not any ice. Ice in a G&T is always welcome.
