I am priviliged to have a little cat and a little dog, who are both 13 years old. The little dog-Nikkei sleeps in our bed and has bonded to us so much that we have not been on overseas holidays since we had her. Our little cat Tilly we named after a dear next door neighbour when we lived in East Ham who was over 90 when we knew her so she would be 110 now ! Tilly, the cat that is has everything wrong with her, she has diabetes, a tumour on her liver, fluid build up and a weak heart, yet with love she seems happy and purrs away and eats like a 16 stone labourer coming off a 12 hour shift.
Animals bring so much to you it is almost impossible to describe to a non animal lover what it is as I am sure you know.
Loved this entry and all your others , drop in any time to my cyber space and I'll have a cup of cyber tea ready for you, or is it capuccino nowadays.

It's lovely to talk to a fellow animal-lover. I have two dogs, Angus (5 year old weimaraner) and Rosee. (a 1 year old Yellow lab. She's pure love.) I also have two cats, Buddy and Porsche. (11 and 3) There's also a savage parrot, named Biko. If I ever win a lot of money, I will take him back to Africa, where he belongs. Or I will get him a friend. Maybe that's all he needs. He will not let me love him the way I want. He bites. I have been homebound since I got Angus. The love they all give is much more healthy than a vacation, and I would never be without animal friends.
