Here in Scotland MINCE can be an adjective meaning lousy,crap etc.
eg. "that film wiz mince, Morag".
I just thought I would add this morsel of information for your purusal.

Gets a bit confusing when you're eating mince that isn't very good. "This mince is pure mince!"

We're a very confused nation - our mince pies actually have mince in them so :
"all Scottish mince pies are pure mince whereas English mince pies aren't mince except bad ones"
