Way to go! It's nice to know someone who has a official entry. Maybe now some of your magic will rub off on others. (me? please please please!)

Thanks frink! Keep the faith, brother. Your time will come.
I don't know what kind of time-line the Mandarins are following. "Tails" was rejected almost as soon as I submitted it. On the other hand, there are much older (relatively) things in my out-tray that, apparently, haven't even had a look. Still, "ours not to reason why...".

Congratulations! I'm playing the percentages and submitted 3 articles together. I doubt this increases my chances, but it's my only hope. It's good to know that someone who's name crops up all over H2G2's fora has an article in.

I don't know what formula the ed.s follow. They seem to pick articles out at random. Persistance is the key though. Good luck!

It seems to me that the "place" (cities, countries, etc) have a much higher percentage of acceptance than the things, anyone else notice this?

I have three user pages describing places that haven't received any attention:
* Hamilton Mountain
* Pittsburgh
* The Grand River
All three predate "Saturday Matinees".
Maybe the relative appeal of "place" entries is that, in general, they tend to be more personal.

Maybe they don't catagorize by person, place, or thing, but rather by animal, vegatable, or mineral. That would explain why all of my mineral articles have been ignored up to this point.

Systemic mineral bigotry?
