How do you follow a Journal entry about sex? It's not easy...
The only thing that comes to mind is to remind our younger viewers not to take up smoking.

There's a few older ones who need reminding too JTG. Last week we went to Cornwall and the local had a non-smoking bar and one night I had to tell one of the locals off for smoking in there. He was not a happy man but then all the other locals joined in and supported me!

Good for you!... literally.
So-called smokers righers has been, and still is, a contentious issue here, too. What they (smokers, I mean) don't seem to appreciate is that, fundamentally, they are doing something injurious to the people around them. It's hard to think of a close parallel to that. At work, I often theaten to take up chainsaw juggling.
Have you met Princess Lillie (U516222)? She lives in Plymouth and also visits Cornwall. The odds are against it, I suppose. On the other hand, Cornwall's not Siberia.

I have read Princess Lille's comments before but haven't spoken. She only lives in the next county - I have a couple more to drive through on the way - including hers

Which probably puts you in no mood to suffer smokers after a long drive.
Is Cornwall crawling with tourists in the summertime, or is it still pretty unspoilt?
I was shocked to see how much Derbyshire had changed since we left. It seemed clogged with backpackers; and there were actually paved parking lots all over the place, where there were none before. Mind you, that was more than 20 years ago; so it's probably changed a lot more since then... back, I hope.

Cornwall heaves with tourists all summer and the motorway crawls all the way down there. That is pretty much why we go in winter/spring!

Good idea. As I remember it (not very well, granted), it must have a particular beauty in atrocious, rainy weather that you'd miss basking somewhere with an ice-cream. Whether or not that's true, it's no fun shuffling around with hordes of tourists... even if you're one of them.
