A nice shiny black Philips one with about 6,500 tracks on it?
Yep, I was dumb for leaving it in an open bag on the table. Opened it to take my camera out, wandered off to take a photo and got sidetracked.
I can't think of anywhere else I could have lost it.
I've called the pub but they haven't come across it.
Mind you, if somebody nicked it it'll be pretty useless as it's got a fairly unique charger/USB plug on it.
I'm posting this in Ask thread aswell, for obvious reasons!

Sorry, I haven't even seen it Maybe you lost it in the cab, or the train ? Or on your way to the train, whilst buying a ticket ? Anything is possible

After leaving the pub I only opened my bag to get the JD out then in Wetherspoons the next day, when my eye was on it the whole time I wasn't next to it.

Sorry to hear that. Can't help I'm afraid except for offering sympathy. Hope you're lucky and get it back.

No way! Oh you silly billy! Meanwhile, that's great news! You must be feeling at least very relieved amongst the foolishness. Just don't do it again, okay?

Immense relief. I'm not sure how I managed to put it in a pocket that I didn't know existed!

I was looking for a biro when I found it. There were some odd looks from around the room when I started kissing my MP3 player!

It was an Employment Law training course, so no, they didn't know me! Probably for the best...
This bloke was on the course too: http://homepage.ntlworld.com/paul.gray/index.htm
A genuine rock legend! And a smashing bloke. And a cautionary tale for those musicians who choose to ignore the onset of tinnitus...
