Hi Josh,
Welcome to h2g2 
You will be properly welcome soon by a Community ACE - I think they may all be asleep right now, or at the pub 
The ACEs are the fount of all knowledge on hootoo (h2g2)
You can write an entry from almost any page - just look for the bit that says 'write an entry'. If you press 'my space', you will find your space - scroll down and you will see an area for a journal. You can write there too
I will post a message to an ACE to make double sure you get a formal welcome and a full introduction package, ok?
