Good point I'm still earning less than when I worked in a shop in the West End. But my standard off living is sooooo much better.

How else do you think I can afford to fly to the meet up. I only used to fly over once a year when I lived in London. Any other time my parents paid.

Just about... I am looking for people to get involved with the site because I think it will be an important resource for writers and their readers. I am also looking for help in editing articles and building community. I am looking for turning WA into a sort of h2g2 but around writer's needs in particular. I feel a call on Bluebottle might be needed

We have sections for all genres but mainly fiction
This site is based on an earlier, similar, project called The Long Dark Foundation. That project wasn't scalable so I decided with some friends to set up a company, Netalley Networks, and expand upon its scope. I would appreciate all the help I can get with promotion and so on. I believe that there are a lot of good authors out there who simply don't have a place to show off what they can do. Another problem is that they don't have a community to chat about their hobby nor share tips and research. WA hopes to provide that. If you have ICQ, my UIN is 10446635.
