I am sorry that you feel that you cannot contribute to the guide because of this. But I equally I understand. I am not aware that our terms and conditions are any different to any other contributer driven content website.

It has been brief.... smiley - smiley

Dear Abi
I am relatively new to h2g2 and have not really done anthing except post to forums. Last weekend I started writing something that I thought would be a first guide entry but it got right out of control (8 pages of 12 point A4!) which I am looking for a home for. I looked at the university site and it struck me that there should be a faculty for social history (to colect items in the form of personal reminiscences such as the stuff on the 70s) - I would be quite interested in pulling some of this stuff together. Can I/we put together a faculty for this type of material? Incidentally, my article is typed in Word at the moment but I would like to transform it into something more manageable using chapter headings linked to sections of it It is entitled 'Possibly the Best Festival in the World'

Hi NitPicker - thanks for your note. The university is at the moment being piloted and we hope to expand the range of departments soon.

However from what you are saying it strikes me that your article would be best suited to going through the existing submissions system. As a rule the Editorial team don't accept first person entries, however they do reserve the right to waive this rule!

A good guide to what we are looking for can be found at http://www.h2g2.com/A53209 .

Does that help?

Thanks Abi - I will try to get to grips with some GuideML and see if I can get it into the shape I want before I put it up anywhere. I'll let you know how i get on. Thanks again.
