What an earth is the point of removing URLs; how does this help anyone?

I am currently learning Teeline. Teeline Fast by Ann Dix is the book we use.

The previous email was sent in Dec 07, and is basically a complaint about your service, moderator - but you've not explained yourself. Even if its in the rules we've all agreed to, you could at least politely respond?

I would have liked to see that website as well - what's wrong with posters sharing information about good courses, as long as we all understand that the BBC or h2g2 is not endorsing them?
