Used Furniture
Researcher 116177 Started conversation Apr 2, 2000
Like most young professionals living on a budget, I have been living with a hodge-podge of furniture. Most of it has been passed around the family for more years than I care to count. Well, now the time has finally come. I am going to shop for and buy my own furniture. After all I did turn 30 last fall and I should have a house that looks mostly grown up. I love Ethan Allen and Storehouse furniture, but, while I can afford it, I believe the best thing to do is spend under my means. Yesterday I found a great deal. My mom and me were out looking at unpainted furniture when she suggested we go to a used furniture dealer down the road. We went with no expectations and found some really great stuff. I ended up with four chairs, a dining room table, a beautiful cherry desk and a matching upholstered chair - all for only $250! The four chairs and table are used but I'm going to refinish them. The cherry desk and chair are brand new and remind me of the desk my parents own. All in all, a very successful start to furnishing my home.
