It's still annoying to get a huge bill.

Meh, my last huge bill was for my upcoming trip to Manchester and Edinburgh so I didn't really mind.

Oh... but in some ways, at least the 'wait is over', when the 'big bill' comes in.... I'm half trying to convince myself, that the 'big bill' for the roof work will turn up, being half* what the origional estimate was <snork. yeh... like builders always deliver under estimate... Just trying to convince myself I guess, I'll have enough cash leftover to do something with the ancient kitchen

How strange, I rang them to ask about something to do with bank accounts, and they said 'would you like us to take it out of the funds we are holding for you?'.

I'm wondering if the DD I've been paying for 18 months is more than the bills I've been getting (I am very lazy and didn't add up all the invoices), in which case they should have lowered it and given me a refund!

I'm waiting for the big bill for the work to the car. There was so much to tot up that the guy hadn't got round to doing it when I called in 10 days later.

Mina - I should give them a nudge about the refund. My mother had a refund of 700 pounds once just after a short tot up of her electricity bills and then a phone call to the electricity supplier. They might just not have figured it out for themselves and probably don't have anything in their system which reminds them.

That sounds worrying!!
