Fed up with seeing new posts, and all that's there is a long line of fecking smilies.

Sometimes it's just a way to say, "like", "well said", "plog", "I agree" or "I read your post, don't have anything to add, but you should know that it did not go unnoticed". But then I'd usually post just one smiley or two.

I've always hated it, but have been subscribed to a couple of smiley congas by mistake lately it seems...

NaJoPoMo seems to have encouraged it, there are so many to read that people can't keep up but want to show that they have been reading so leave a calling card, so to speak.

NaJoPoMo encouraged me to click on the unsubscribe button more often. That reaction was definitely encouraged when I'd see posts of just a single smiley used to bookmark the thread. (I don't really get why people do that.)

Ah, that explains it. It's just a shame to be forced to unsubscribe from a journal I'm enjoying just because, in the nicest possible way, some people can't read without moving their lips/mouses...

Apologies to any of my readers who are doing it who I may have offended, but really, you don't have to say I woz 'ere on every journal.
