Heh, mine did exactly that too. However, since my home computer is a low-end 1st-gen Mac Mini dating from 2004, and thus outperformed by most current smartphones, I don't really mind that it's not bleeding edge.

Firefox released a new update - Firefox 8 - yesterday. Sounds like there was some kind of overlap in your case, Mina. It does that occasionally. Sometimes I'll put off updating it for a while after it first nags me, and if I leave it long enough it'll update to the version it's been waiting to get at, then automatically check for updates and find a more recent one. I don't know why it does that, but updates are very often for security reasons and shouldn't be ignored, for that reason.

Oh dear, I do ignore them for ages because hey I'm surfing, I don't want to restart and be without my browser even for just a moment thanksverymuch!

I wondered if this was an update I'd put off, and it had to do the old update before it could do the new update. Like in a queue.
