I'm not really here

At seeing all the lovely snow on the telly.

After the trouble last winter I'm just keeping my fingers crossed that it doesn't settle here until I'm well out of the country.

Titania (gone for lunch)

More than ankle deep snow here, with -11ºC/12ºF that feels even colder due to humidity and wind. Clear skies though which is nice considering, with more than three weeks left until the winter solstice, we already have less than six hours of daylight (today 5 hours 46 minutes between sunrise and sunset).

The earth's axis must have wobbled more than usual lately - the *shortest* day of the year used to be six hours long in my part of the woods.

Don't they do things to the minutes? Make days shorter? I must be making that up... smiley - erm

When daylight broke we had had a flurry of powerdery snow - I couldn't see it in the organge glow! Nice police officer (owns 2 JRTS, smiley - handcuffs, mmmmmm...) told me it stopped about 630 this morning.

Er, must be 4 inches of snow last night and today. Over top of my boots anyway!

Only had one smiley - titface hit the van, kept away from usual areas where school kids hang out. Hopefully cold keeping them away!

There is only one thing worse than being Gosho, and that is not being Gosho

I've just been looking at some travel cameras on the BBC London pages. Looks pretty nasty in some parts of London

It's not good here, although not so bad as other places. Snow over my back door step!

Some of my friends had partners stuck on or around M25 for hours, last time I looked one hadn't moved for 90 mins - only about half mile from the home turn off. smiley - sadface

Well, like Scotty said in one of the Star Trek films, "The more complicate they make they plumbing, the easier it is to bung up the pipes", and a big city like London is the most complicated kind of plumbing in the world.
