Aren't we all after a splendid week strolling along the beaches in the unseasonably glorious autumn sun, normal service has been resumed - rain and plenty of it smiley - sadface

I sure it will improve along with you health, Mina smiley - cheerup

Cough got bad again today, mainly because with the rain I had to have the blowers on in the van to keep the windows clear.

Dogs, stop breathing and steaming!

Gees Linctus. It's probably what your friend said was addictive. Dissolve the doseage into boiling water and drink. It will taste disgusting. Your cough will go though!

Do you find it gets worse once the leaves start coming off the trees? It was like that with my daughter.

I will be going back to the smiley - doctor if I am still coughing after the weekend, I don't think I can have my jabs for India while I'm not well. It doesn't sound sensible to do that anyway, and need to get them started!

I'll talk to my mate about that gees thing, I'll see him tomorrow. He's well up on my asthmatic health these days, like my own personal private consultant. smiley - biggrin

Gee's linctus used to have morphine in it, right up until the 70s. Now it doesn't, but it used to when I was a child, my doc pointed it out to me. smiley - smiley

Ah now I saw my friend walking his dog the other day, and he said the codeine linctus that was mentioned also was morphine deriphed and that it could have a dodgy effect on my breathing (if it was sold anymore, which it wasn't).

This is a bit of a minefield really,...

My mum used to get a creosote cough medicine which she swore was the only thing that worked, then they stopped making that too. She always had a bit of that in the cupboard!

I am still not bloody well and getting sick of it now. Was up late last night coughing and gagging (sorry) and REALLY WANT IT TO GO AWAY NOW.

Supposed to be starting my injections in next two or three weeks, wanted to start them next week to be sure (just in case I bottle it and have to try again with a higer dose of valium! but also because I have to be a bit picky about what time of day I have the jab due to not wanting to handle naughty dogs with a sore arm or drive with a head full of valium) but until this cough goes away I'm stuffed.
