Why, why, why does she do it?

I'm not really here

Nothing serious, but when I started this business I created a new rule that I wouldn't be answering the phone after 9pm. Not ever. I may respond to a text, if I'm in the mood, but generally, no. Telecommunications silence after 9pm.

My neighbour knows this. Yet she constantly tries to ring. I know she can hear the phone ringing, I know she knows I'm still up and awake, so she keeps it ringing for ages and ages and ages.

Then I get a message, via facebook, text or email that pretty much always starts 'I tried to ring you but you wouldn't answer'...

I won't be told off for not being at the beck and call of someone who wants to ask something that can wait until the next day. We live right next door - bump into each other like a million times a day (helped by her coming out to speak to me when she hears me come out), these things can wait!

She's not even lonely - half the time she's got a million friends round at her house!

There is only one thing worse than being Gosho, and that is not being Gosho

Why don't you knock on her door, and when she answers tell her, in all seriousness, there's no point in calling you because you're not in.

Well, you're not. Can't argue with that.
