I'm not really here Started conversation Jul 3, 2010
I love this new car. I've been out in it loads and loads, out every night this week, visited two friends today, one I haven't seen for over a year because she's moved into a doer-upper and is busy and I've been working for myself and if I'm in her town have usually got half a dozen dogs with me.
Funny how a sexy new car can change things!
Sadly have had to put a solid roof on it (which is the wrong colour and needs a respray) as had to move it from where it had been stored, and my parents dared, yes THEY DARED TO GO OUT! So I couldn't drop it off with them and I've nowhere to put it. So possibly won't be using the car for a while...
Who else can I visit? (Penciled in EV & Fords so far...)
I really must up the mileage on my policy!

You could visit me. Fancy a car trip to Germany?

Drop down to the South West M4 and turn left at Wales is all the directions you need
Robyn is in Bristol and I'm off the end of the M5

Not sure I could get enough stuff packed in the tiny boot for Germany, plus scary driving on wrong side. Otherwise I would.
Let me get this new girl (ha! She's older than me!) trained and I'll sneak some time off for a road trip.

Hey, you could let me drive
If you change your mind, all you have to do is whistle --you can whistle, can't you?

Hey aren't the autobahns unlimited regarding speed? I can remeber many years ago being soundly ticked of by the German Old Bill for excessive speed, but no ticket, unlike the grasping private companies here, as are the Cornwall and Devon Highway Robbery Safety Camera Partnership Hiding 100metres off the end of the dual carraigeway to snare the unwary at 72mph

You can't be done for doing 72 mph on the motorway. They have to allow for the 10% error margin and if you're overtaking and doing 77 they can't touch you

Ah, but in the rule of law is when you leave the dual carraigeway/motorway the limit becomes 60mph. It's all about road safety - Yeah right!
I cheer myself with pleasant thoughts of Mina's plait flying in the wind, Lara Croft style, as she races around the Essex countryside with the top off (the MX5 ) All very successful business woman about town

Ahhh, I see what you mean now. Putting a speed gun at the end of the dual carriageway is bloody cheeky! I wish the police would concentrate more on the idiots who drive dangerously, or people who hold up the fast lane doing a stately 50 mph. They're the real offenders in my view

None-the-less, they, the private company in charge of Devon and Cornwall's road safety, have me bang to rights by law As a honest (mostly)law abiding motorist, I shall pay up and take the three points
I'm sure Mina is the epitomy of an in her MX5
