Customer this morning was talking about being 60 and that's close to 'really being old' so I guess 40 is more like the new 20.
I will be avoiding talking to anyone under the age of 28 for the rest of my life, to avoid being 'the new 80'.

Most of the people I work with are in their 20s. Some of them are in their 30s. Some of them are still teenagers and weren't even born in the 80s. Even some of the managers haven't hit 30 yet, so I'm the oldest person working there by a very long way compared to average age, and sometimes I really, really want to be working with people closer to my own age. I wonder how some of them get through the day in one piece 
You try to impart some of your experience and common sense to them, the way it was imparted to me when I started working, and they can't grasp it.
Kids! Grumble grumble. And get off my lawn ye young whippersnapper!

I usually think the people who book me to look after their pets are older than me, but I'm pretty sure most of them aren't, judging by the age of their children!
Though that means not much with people waiting later to have kids...

Yes it did thank you! And everyone liked that. Sad to say, now I'm 40, it may well be true! 
Thanks to everyone, had a lovely day, managed to get rid of everyone by half five, then J made me turn the damn music off. 
Have to nip out shortly to feed someone's cat, then the rest of the evening may well be to finish off the 2l bottle of Co-op Strong Dry Cider my neighbour bought me, so I feel 20 again.

If you topped it off with half a bottle of neat vodka and then collapsed by the pavement on the way home, that would be me at 18. I never, ever did it again and infinitely prefer being 40 in that respect
