Well, apart from the ruddy ugly bar on the top of the page I can't see many differences... I still haven't figured out why they spent all that time developing SSO as a solution to logging in across the whole BBC, then replaced it with BBCID - which is a solution to logging in across the whole BBC...

I found it odd that I had to accept staying on topic - clearly that can't concern h2g2, where off topic drift has become an art in itself?

Hey ho. I have been told off before for slagging off SSO (although I didn't actually slag it off, I commented that I'd never have a number after my log in name and that apparently didn't go down very well), but I thought that now I've gone, the designers had gone and SSO has gone, I'd be okay!

Can't be the title, as that seems to have survived.

This bar is neater and not so intrusive. It doesn't have two links that do the same thing. It doesn't diplay our log in name for anybody wandering around behind the screen to see. Although there is the discussion about nicknames now, SSO tried to make us have our 'member name' as our screen name, and had the whole stupid secret question thing instead of just letting us reset out passwords, which I see has now been corrected.

So I was just glad to see the back of the annoying thing.

I hate that bar. I know who I am, dammit! Stop telling me!

Took me a good ten minutes to figure out what punctuation I could sneak through the pointless filter.

I like the little alien that sits there being friendly now. Ccoooo...
