It has been flurries for us over the past two days. 15 mins or so of snow, maybe heavy, maybe just pretty, then it's over again.
Just makes me laugh when they're saying 'snow flurries' all the time.

We ain't getting any snow here in Austin but we're colder than London. Just barely made it up to freezing today, yes - *up* to freezing, from a low of 24F/-4.4C. For Friday night I'm hearing forecasts of anything from 19F/-7.2 to 12F/-11.1C for Austin, and lower than that in outlying areas
I might have to wear a hat in bed tonight

Oh dear, that bad? Google says we had -3 yesterday, and the same today. We couldn't keep the birds water unfrozen, and the plastic containers I was putting out all snapped. My poop scoop snapped, one of my wormeries is frozen solid, and the other I think the worms are going to die.

I know, that's what makes the cold/wet weather here tolerable - it only lasts a short while then things return to more pleasant weather.
Except for the summer when it's 100° for three months straight

I wouldn't like that, I don't mind the cold, this weather is much easier to deal with than the very hot weather. Which is good, as the cold lasts a hell of a lot longer!

It's pretty ghastly. I never thought I'd live in a place where you actually look forward to the end of summer. It's relentless, unless we get a summer like the one a couple of years back where the spring rains continued all the way through May and most of June.
Come October, we were all walking through an ankle-deep sea of acorns. The rains made for a bumper crop of acorns and pecans. I've never seen so many.
