Sales book done, including new system! Phew...
Of course, there's still loads of stuff to be getting on with, but I haven't seen the bottom of that box for months.

I've got a book about decluttering, I'm sure the motivational stuff in it would work. If I could be motivated to go and read it.
Must be courses. If only I could be etc. etc.
Didn't get much done today, I am supposed to be writing a presentation, but I turned it into my first h2g2 entry for, ooh, ouch, over a year.

My day involved a nap and no cooking. In some ways a considerable achievement, in others, not.
I just want to prune ruthlessly at the old and useless stuff. Accept that there are somethings I am never going to use (eg, my violin, which I can't even play), deal with the things that are important to me (eg, the holiday scrapbooks), and ditch vast quantities of stuff relating to running a guide unit, which I doubt I'll need again (and much of which is quite out of date now). I know what needs doing, it's a case of *finding the time* Isn't it always?! You'd think with three weeks off work I'd be able to find the time but there's shopping to do and people to see and games to play and I just know it will slip away from me ...

Every time I clear something it's covered in new crap two days later.
Not helped at the moment because I've got pressies all over the place, plus I kept all the bags of air the pressies were delivered with to drape over the wormeries, and as you say, haven't had the time (although I've not done anything productive today, I've had to do the 'family visiting' I don't normally have time for). What time I have, well, it will be sucked up by the internet I expect. Not so much doing stuff, but waiting for other people to so stuff so I can respond.
I really need to get a life.

Internet sucks up quite a bit of my time, but on the other hand, it's a gentle way of winding down when I don't have the mental energy for other things. There is no way I'm getting out the scrapbooking at 9pm - which is generally the earliest I settle down after work, although the evenings will be longer over the holiday I suppose. And then yes, the crap multiplies (there are five people generating it here) and sitting behind a screen is a good way of hiding from it when I'm tired.
I have however now organised myself a banking folder, with everything I need in one nicely organised place Part of our problem here is that some of our paperwork management systems are managed by DH (because he used to handle all the household bills when we were first married, and then he had sole charge of paperwork when he was a househusband). They aren't always my systems of choice.
His pizza box pigeonholes, one for each member of the family, and one for each school, are brilliant though.

It's the systems that are at fault. By the time you've set one up, it's time to do something else.
But I'm glad I found time to get mine done yesterday. It will still build up a bit, but hopefully will be quicker to get through.
Normally I don't manage to get things done when J's around (how you manage with three I don't know!), so when he goes to bed at 9, like you, it's too late to start getting things out that need spreading out to work on. Since he got his new laptop he's been doing his surfing upstairs. Next time he's not around I'm going to have to check up to see what he's been doing on it! But it does mean I feel happier getting on with things as I know I won't be interrupted.

I'm slowly getting the hang of the fact that at weekends, there are times when everybody is happily occupied (or even out of the house), there's no meal imminent, and it's OK for me to get on with things.
But only very slowly getting the hang of this!
