There's a lot of Intertubes weirdness going on today. The Independent website (which refreshes itself roughly once a minute) keeps throwing up an error message that requires a manual refresh, Beer Advocate has been off all day, and everything's just running very slowly.

It's been bad for a while, both me and J have been wanting to beat each other up over the whole thing. I finally rang on Monday to be told there is a fault on the line, and today I keep getting messages from the call centre that I can't understand as they are speaking too fast! The only bit I can hear is 'please be available at that time' at the end.

Which frankly is RUDE!

But maybe the whole web has been missing me, so playing up?

It's better now, but I still think that it's getting steadily worse. My ping rates keep on creeping up and Youtube videos take even longer to load these days. You know, for a country famed for its innovation and engineering heroes, why do we have to put with such a sucky telecommunications network?

The head of BT has now gone down in the epic fail records by stating a few months back that he didn't see the need to roll out a complete fibre optic network - I bet he has cable at home
