smiley - yuk Maybe they're not meant to be swallowed. smiley - bigeyes

If it's fluid, then if the skin did split, it would all come out? Or maybe it's not just like a balloon filled with water, no matter what it feels like. smiley - laugh

I'm not sure about the fluid.i know i have fluid that builds up in myfeet, and spreads up my legs, and the skin goes very tight, but i'm told it spreads to wherever it can,so if it got worse it would go higher up the legsmiley - yikes.Maybe fluid that you get with an infection is different???

There is only one thing worse than being Gosho, and that is not being Gosho

Glad it's getting better Mina.

You do know that Wikipedia can tell you pretty much anything you want to know, right? smiley - winkeye

maybe my nose is a little out of joint because of the sharp retort to my trying to be helpful posting here...

nevertheless...

smiley - biggrin

i think that you cannot compare apples and oranges and there is absolutely no competition with wikipedia... it is completely different. Those of you truely dedicated to h2g2 need to define the differences and emphasise them...

h2g2 is not not factual... but it does have more leeway in the humanness of its tone. anyway, i can't really define it for you... it is your site... your group... i can only tell you what i have noticed... for what it is worth...
the viewpoint of an outsider.

smiley - smiley you would be surprised, Dr, how many times "don't link to wikipedia" messages get posted on h2g2

i was just remarking that wikipedia is actually a great resource for h2g2... and just that it would be better for wikipedia to be an ally rather than an opponent... since h2g2 cannot compete with it... not because h2g2 is inferior to wikipedia but because h2g2 is just... different...

kinda like the difference between prose and poetry... h2g2 being the poetry.

or like... you can read a seriously scientific social-commentary book or you can read Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy.

Well, one paragraph of that and I remembered why I like h2g2, not wikipedia. I didn't understand most of the long words they use. At least on h2g2 you can read about something to do with your health and actually understand it.

I'm not really here

It's nearly back to normal now, although I wish it would stay exactly as it is now, forever.

I've always had bony, wrinkly hands, as there's no flesh on there to bulk things out - they've always looked around 20 years older than the rest of me, and this one hand now looks reasonably plump and nice. The day before yesterday it looked perfect, no wrinkles, no bones or those disgusting hard moving bits (tendons?) showing. It's getting a few wrinkles back now, but I'd still be happy if it stayed looking the same age as the rest of me!

Just thought I'd mention I've got another one of these on my leg. Doing all the things I was told last time didn't help, although I couldn't hold my leg in the air what with working and driving and I forgot the ice.

Antihistimine cream and tablets no help, so I've got a 3-4 inch wheal just under my knee on the outside of m left leg.

I'm now trying OTC steroid cream.
