I'm not really here Started conversation Mar 7, 2007
After over seven years on this site I've had more messages removed since the New Year than in the entire time before. I'm not sure whether this is down to me being more beligerant (I had an extremely bad start to the year), other people being more sensitive, or frankly, someone has decided that they don't like me and have started a campaign against me.
The mods don't uphold complaints, or the Eds reinstate things that were wrongly removed, then the sheer weight of numbers beats the Eds down and then I get emails saying that things are removed after all, or that they are removing previously reinstated messages (despite emailing to say they are fine and have been put back). I always thought that abuse of the complaints system (ie constant complaining despite being told the message didn't break the rules) was in itself against the rules.
So I'd just like to say to whoever is behind this that I hope that you do eventually find the life you are looking for, and let me get on with mine.
And you missed one about whipping that you might like to go back and find and get removed.

You're still having trouble?
*starts making snowballs (yes, we still have snow, but it's rather wet, which makes it even easier to make really hard snowballs) to throw at the yikeser*

I don't mind the complaints, that's just to be expected, it's the yoyoing on and off that's made me write this. As if someone hates me so much that they'll just keep going until the Eds give in.
Well, better to be talked about than not I suppose. Even if it is where I can't see it.

I haven't seen any slide into bad temper in your behaviour. So, I'm as mystified as you are as to who could be making life difficult for you. I can tell you for a fact that *I* haven't yikesed any post of yours, ever. I can, however, think of two people who might want to mount a vendetta against you.
I think you should take a leaf out of my book and chew someone up once in a while. At the very least, it allows them to respond in kind and gets it all out in the open.

Two people? Are you sure it's two people, rather than two accounts? I have recently annoyed someone with multiple accounts, but this started before that happened and I don't think they made any complaints.

Well, one of them we both have spoken about. The other strikes me as somebody who doesn't so much harbour a grudge as take it into dry dock for a complete refit...

Ain't me Guv - I've only ever yiksed four posts, and that was due to accidently finding an old thread in Norwegian.

Norwegian?
The <./>HouseRules</.> don't say you can't post in other languages than Englihs, it says 'Because we have to ensure we understand a Posting or Guide Entry in case of problems, languages other than English may have to be removed.'
At some time in the past, there used to be at least one Moderator who understood 'Scandinavian', so some of our postings in Swedish, Danish and Norwegian were allowed to stay up...

I don't really care who it is - after all, I complain if I see something against the rules, and really, if I piss someone off enough to make them complain that's just my bad luck. It's the toing and froing of my messages, and me not knowing if I'm coming or going, because if I get told my message doesn't break the rules, or the Eds put it back I carry on. Then later it gets removed, along with half the rest of the thread because I didn't realise I should stop!
If I get told no when I complain and I disagree enough to not want to accept it I email the Eds, not carry on complaining again and again.
That's why I keep thinking if someone has the time to do that, what are they missing. A grip comes to mind.

Umm, they were really old conversations Ti, and my memory says 'Norwegian', although how I'd know that I don't know - I've only been there once. We're talking about 3 years since I yikesed 'em and all.

Don't let it get you down we have all suffered from the phantom yikeser at some point. They need to get a life and should be pitied for the fact they don't have one and find other people's so interesting that they have to follow them around.

I wouldn't mind if I was doing anything exciting! I only really wrote this journal because so many of mine barely get any replies because my life is so uninteresting to other people these days that I thought I'd stir things up a bit.

I find your journal interesting.
The yikesing would nark me somewhat, too. I was really miffed when my deathlist copped it.

I had no idea. I'm sorry about this on and of, it must be extremely irritating. I have yikesed a few posts since I've been an Ace, but that was mostly links to porn sites, or blatant advertising, such things. It would never occur to me to follow somebody around and randomly yikes posts. Maybe that's because I just lack the time for doing so?
Until now, I thought the 'phantom yikeser' was a myth, and that posts vanished due to the filter, but after reading this, I'm not sure again.
Oh, and I probably don't lurk enough, I haven't come across any postings of you that I thought were 'yikesable'. The whole thing is very indeed.

Someone has put forward the suggestion that it could be a blast from the past, someone who's back to haunt me. Which would explain why it's mostly my journals that are getting it, not things I post in other places - it's easier to have a go at things right up there on my Personal Space rather than go reading through my conversation list.
Glad you find them interesting Mol.
