*rides up on Ferrari from http://www.h2g2.com/forumframe.cgi?forum=26140&thread=49964 where denizens of the Aroma Cafe are in a nearby daisy-studded clearing, preparing to fly kites*
Hello again! Would you all like to join us at kite-flying? Auntie, Ferrari has a saddle on, so you could ride behind me quite safely.

Oooh, another Aroma thread. Maybe with exams, i'll have to miss the cafe for a while
Go on AA, have a trip on Ferrari, he's a great horse!

Oh, this isn't the main coffee-swilling, get-too-long-in-48-hours thread. This is a little side trip. Exams come first, I agree, but you can stop by and watch Garius fly his garbage bag kite on your way back to your books.

Seems more like summer now all of a sudden. I am boiling hot every night and day...grr! I prefer the winter myself.

i enjoy the warmth more than the cold but i guess it is just each persons preference .....i have found that it is quite warm here lately, quite early in the season for it too....i wonder if this is a sign of a bad summer??

That it's going to be dead hot until September? Probably.
I remember last year, it was hothot August, then as soon as we hit September you noticed thedifferent. The air was damp to start with, and then it just progressed from there...

it is strange...in a way i look forward to the heat and in a way i dread it...the heat is great as there are so many things that thrive when it is hot giving you all kinds of treats to view but on the other hand when it gets too hot you can only enjoy it close up for a short time before having to go back into the coolness of your home

Yup
My hands go all icky in the hot...it's like a small allergic reaction. Pretty manky. Luckily it's not very pronounced, but it makes me feel like a freak

i can understand....i have an oily complextion and anytime i find myself in the heat for too long a time i find myself feeling like i have bathed in a tub full of baby oil

Ah, don't mention oil . Why do I have to wash my heair every 2-3 days? Oh well, at least I'm clean...

every 2 or 3 days? you are luckier than me...if i go more than 24 hours without washing mine it sticks to my head something awful i think there is an oil fairy that comes around every night while i slumber and drops a bucket over my head

I have gone two weeks without washing my hair- believe you me, the hair become highly manageable, and highly stinky.

one of those awful survival hikes. I was on the hike for three weeks, but we were without extra water for two of them. It was all very tiresome
