hey Mike! I think that the little blue flowers could be forget-me-nots! It is just about the right time of year for them

Cheerzen mate.
I haven't heard about those flowers for ages...there's a little story about how the plant got it's name. Do you already know it?
(i do btw)

This German knight was walking down a river with his chick, and saw some lovely flowers on the riverside. He went down to pick them up, but slipped and fell into the river. Due to his heavy armour, he drowned. As he was carried off downstream he threw the flowers and his woman, shouting "forget me not!"
And poignant, if concise, tale.

*breathes again*
It is a sweet story, although you have to wonder what it would be like to take a stroll wearing full body armour.
"Walkin' with my baby" *clank, clank*
"Down by the bay" *clank, splash*

Crying other sad & happy? Reading Watership Down could well be a contender. I haven't listened to Eric Clapton's Money & Cigarettes album for months. I was listening to that album whilst reading the book. I hear the song Pretty Girl and can only think of Bigwig in the snare...the song has just the right atmosphere for it too
Asteroid Lil has flowers in her hair? How long for?

Daisies. When I was at summer camp up in the Penobscot Bay part of Maine, we girls used to braid them, plait them into wreaths. Here, I've made one for you. *crowns Agony Aunt with wreath*
Isn't it interesting how you can come to associate certain music with something you were doing or reading or experiencing? Mike, have you seen Casablanca, the classic Bogart movie. It's the one where the "Play It Again, Sam" meme comes from. I'm sure AA has seen it at least twice!

yes, you are correct my dear Lil, i have viewed Casablanca at least once or twice . i must say that it is one of the best stories i have had the pleasure of seeing, such emotion...something that i feel todays movies lack, todays movies seem to be more on the instant gratification and less on the storyline, oh for the return of the great actresses and actors of years ago...but, once again i fear my age is showing .
*places the lovely crown of flowers on her head and begins to think back to simpler times*
some of my fondest memories are when my friends and i would gather in the fields during warm days and creating crowns of flowers for our hair, we would prance around like queens and have such fun...i have often found myself wondering if children today enjoy such simple pleasures or if the techical age has erased all of the things we did in our youth and replaced them with less imaginative or creative things. have any of you ever played a game of 'hopscotch' or jumped rope to childrens' nursery rhymes? how about a quite game of 'pick up sticks' or jacks? please pardon your dear aunty, i fear i am taking a trip down memory lane .

please pardon my quick reply after just now placing one but i felt i had to add, for those who have never seen Casablanca, the line 'play it again Sam' was never in the movie....instead it was something like 'play it for me, you played it for her why can't you play it for me'...i admit it is not correct word for word but my memory is not what it used to be and i would have to sit and watch the whole movie to get it correct but that is close enough
