I live in Widnes, famous for its bridges over the Mersey. My father moved up here after the war. My mother is from Widnes. My nephew, Philip Steadman, is into the reenactment thing and also works in computers, I don't know if you know him, he lives in Stafford. I am into folk music and attend the Frodsham Folk Club each Friday evening, where I get up and sing my selections from the Copper Family of Rottingdean and also have been known to sing my Great-Uncles most famous song "Nosey Parker".

I don't actually know but think maybe Medieaval, hope that's spelt right. Yes, Rottingdean is east of Brighton on coast road towards Hastings and Eastbourne. I have only recently got back into singing after a long break, nearly 30 years. One of my favourite songwriters is Richard Thompson, a much underated English songwriter who is about 12 months older than me and he was a founder member of Fairport Convention in the 1960's. If you wish to hear any of his songs there are some on you tube, look especially for 1952 Vincent Black Lightning.
