So it was Remembrance Day around here I had forgotten all about it it has become very low key it seems.
It might be more memorable but for the simple fact that the family contribution to the casualty lists of both World Wars was 0.
They all did their part in WWI grandfathers one in the trenches and another in the Horse Artillery, and in WWII the RASC and the Parachute Regiment, some of it quite busy but hardly a scratch.
So despite other actions it seems Remembrance Day is being discreetly overlooked by the media, which is the shame.
