I hate Carphone Warehouse, because if I'd bought a contract phone from them instead of a 'pay as you go' (which I did buy) I could now be facing allegations of fraud, all because of a mistake that they made, and have apparently failed to correct, even after I phoned them and asked them to correct it.

Ever seen that phone shop advert were the people are getting topped up? funny thing, our local branch. they were very eger to get me and my firend employed as we knew more about hones then any of the staf that worked there (and I've never owned one in my life) so It's not a big suprise thast this is a fault of a salesman rather than someone who knows about phones.

The mistake they made has absolutely nothing to do with phones though. Really. More with mis-hearing my address and not checking it with me.

perhaps they are just 'stupid'?
Not a bad idea for a company to have some frausters to claim off.

It wouldn't be them benefitting from fraudsters, it would be the people who lived at the address they put down as mine.

The problem lies at the point were they offer x and only for money, thats all they are there for, if they culd take your money without doing anything they would. but why do they have to make money off of mistakes and 'problems'? cinical me thinks it could be the corperate mentality.
